In 2020, we stumbled upon the documentary'The Need To Grow' and since then we have worked closely with Michael Smith and REGENiTECH LLC. This inspiring the film ignited the spark in us. To prevent our ecosystems from collapsing, we need to find a way to grow food without destroying the nature we need to grow it in. We are working with Michael and his Network of Affiliates to spread the word about the revolutionary invention that makes it possible to grow food without artificial fertilizers and nasty chemicals and also can produce electricity from waste from agriculture and forestry. Our goal is nothing less than to build an "Earth Power Lodge" that will be tailored for small farms. We will give sustainability and self-sufficiency a completely new meaning, and at the same time make it profitable to run a small farm. Our facility will also be a showroom and training center for other nature conservation enthusiasts and future EPL owners and operators. In addition to planning a full-scale EPL at Villa Solsiden, we are also developing REGENiBOX and ASGarden REGENiDOME, small off-grid cultivation facilities for private individuals and neighborhoods with REGENiTECH Natural Solutions Engine and sensor technology from Tingkart To finance these ambitious projects, we have created REGENiSHOP, a place where you can support our initiative by shopping for original and useful items. Together we achieve the most incredible things.

Alpakka – myk kraft fra naturen Sommeren 2022 flyttet en liten, sjarmerende alpakkaflokk inn på Villa Solsiden. Disse rolige og nysgjerrige dyrene har ikke bare verdens mykeste fleece (ull), de bringer også en helt egen ro til stedet. Alpakkaene våre gir oss en helt spesiell fiber: lett, varm, pustende og silkemyk mot huden. Den er tre ganger så varm som ull, allergivennlig, antibakteriell, lukter ikke, klør ikke, og kommer i mange naturlige farger, ingen behov for farging eller kjemikalier. De gir oss også verdens beste gjødsel for parken vår, et ordentlig tryllemiddel for plantene! Mild, luktfri og kan brukes direkte uten kompostering og gir næring uten å svi plantene. Grønnsakene elsker det, blomstene også. Hva vi tilbyr: Alpakka-fleece i løs vekt (kardeflak): Kardeflakene våre er rene, luftige og klare til bruk. We followed the dream. It smelled like horses. In 2008, we took the leap—like, really took the leap—and did what most people only talk about after their third glass of wine. We packed up our entire life in Bergen and moved to a small farm in the countryside. Not because we had a foolproof plan. We had a dream, a dog, some wildly enthusiastic visions of chickens in the yard and horses in the sunset, and a romantic idea of “the simple life.” And we believed—optimistically enough—that it would be… well, simple. Spoiler: It wasn’t. Just as we were about to settle into our newfound rural bliss, the financial crisis hit like a drunken moose on icy roads—and sent our finances straight into the ditch. Our little farm turned from a dream to a survival camp overnight—complete with freezing temperatures, unpaid bills, and firewood that disappeared as quickly as our savings. The whole thing felt like some twisted existential game show: “How much can they take before they snap?” Everything fell apart. And when you're standing knee-deep in the rubble, you have two choices: Sink—or get wildly creative. We chose the latter. Not because we knew what we were doing, but because we had no other option. Armed with a cocktail of panic-fueled creativity, relentless hard work, pitch-black humor, and a stubborn (and maybe slightly naïve) belief that “it’ll all work out,” we crawled through the mud with skinned knees and bruised pride. It was anything but graceful. Nowhere near painless. But we moved forward—one stubborn, scrappy meter at a time. And you know what? We learned there is no pre-paved path. You have to make your own—one clumsy, brave, and very un-Instagrammable step at a time. The road appears as you walk it. And the direction? You don’t find it until you’ve already started moving. People love to talk about quitting the rat race. But most end up in a slightly fancier hamsterwheel—with better cushioning and a monthly subscription. We hope that what we’ve built—and continue to build—here at Villa Solsiden serves as a reminder that dreams don’t deliver themselves. They don’t arrive in the mail with a bow on top. And they certainly don’t wait for the “right time.” You have to be willing to take that first uncertain step—long before you know where it’s leading. You have to endure feeling like a total amateur. Endure the raised eyebrows and the “Are you really going through with this?” But it’s worth it. Not because it’s easy. Or perfect. But because it’s yours. And honestly? It’s far more satisfying to fail at something real than to succeed at something you don’t even care about.

Våre originale små hytter omkranses av søte alpakkaer som rusler rundt utenfor dørene og hyggelige frieserhester som kan ta deg med på en ridetur i skogen mens haukene svever høyt over himmelen. I den store medicine tipien er det plass til 24 mennesker rundt bålet. Vår magiske landsby er som en sprøyte med kreativ og oppløftende energi direkte inn i hovedpulsåren din.
